Claude is the secret heir to the Almyran throne and the single direct heir to House Reigan of the Leicester Alliance. His mother was born a noble in Fodlan (a neighboring country with a long history of violence and bloodshed with Almyra) and eloped to marry his father, the king of Almyra. His mixed heritage growing up was a huge point of contention in his life, to the point where he fled Almyra for his own safety. These experiences awakened a desire in Claude to dedicate his life to uniting all nations and breaking down borders to create a safer world for everyone where people can celebrated for their differences, not othered because of them.
Claude is a skilled leader, charismatic, a jokester, curious, sneaky, and very adaptable. He is also the type of person who, if someone tells him that something is off-limits, it only makes him want to figure it out more. Even though Claude wants to best for the people around him and the world to be a peaceful place, he is jaded and guarded. It can take a while for him to trust others and he is suspicious of authority figures.
Fun fact: Claude's born name is Khalid. He changed his name when he moved to Fodlan to blend in better and hide his true identity.

- The Crest of Riegan: Has magic in his blood that, when it manifests, he heals himself. This crest also makes it so he is able to use his mythical bow, Failnaught, without poisoning his blood, which would eventually turn him into a monster. Anyone who does not have the Crest of Riegan would become corrupted and turn into a demonic beast if they use this weapon.
- Background information on Crests: These are magical endowments that are passed down through bloodlines. It is said that they were originally gifts of strength from the goddess and they grant those who receive the power inhuman abilities.Fodlan puts a heavy emphasis on Crest wielders and views those who have them to have higher status than those who don't, to the point where a noble will seek out and adopt a common-born person if they are born with a crest.
- Inhumanly good accuracy and skill with ranged weaponry. Claude is able to shoot with high accuracy and perform many kinds of trick shots. His accuracy is uncanny and he very rarely misses.
- In situations of high stress, such as battle, being in close proximity of Claude gives his allies boosts to their strength. Additionally, due to Claude's training and experience leading troops in battle, those who fight under him have increased accuracy and strength and have higher resistance to damage when attacked.
- Claude is very flexible and mobile. He has an increased skill at dodging attacks and his maneuvering through physically demanding situations and difficult terrain.
- His ability with a bow can challenge the very laws of physics, including imbuing his arrows with magic (extra strength, AOE effects), being able to use his bow short distance and in confined spaces, having an uncanny ability for trick shots, etc.
- Additional examples of this:
- Monster Blast: Extra effective against monsters, deals extra damage
- Encloser: Enemies that are attacked cannot move for the next round of battle. For non-turnbased battle I would say this would mean that they cannot move for about 6 seconds
- Fallen Star: Extra effective against dragons. The user also avoids all attacks for the next round of battle (approx 6 seconds if we translated it to live-action battle).
- Wind God: Extra effective against all types of enemies and has an extended range. When hit, the target is hit by a burst of wind and flies into the air, resulting in addtional damage received when hitting the ground.
- Curved Shot: A trick shot that allows the user to shoot farther and through trickier circumstances (around obstructions)
- Additional examples of this:
- Very experienced using flying mounts
- Any effect or attack that would otherwise kill someone in one hit will not kill Claude. He will still take damage, but he cannot be killed with a single attack.
- Has the potential to learn wind and healing magic
- Extensive knowledge of poisons, both brewing and detecting.
